This is True

Hello strange and not-so-strange readers of my blog. Today I have an announcement to make.
I have been a subscriber to This is True for a while now, and am in my second year of a premium subscription. This is True is a really cool email newsletter that has interesting, unusual and sometimes amusing news stories, all true, with really cool commentary by Randy Cassingham.
While reading the free version of the newsletter (I still subscribe to the free version, as I like the adverts and sometimes the honourary unsubscribe is there before it is in the Premium version) this morning, I discovered that Yahoo is blocking the delivery of This is True to those with Yahoo email accounts. This is bad, as thousands of people who subscribe to This is True use Yahoo email addresses (I don’t like Yahoo mail, but that’s beside the point). It turns out this is because of some people who no longer want This is True clicking “this is spam” rather than unsubscribing. Silly peoples. You can read about it here.
Anyway, I am now trying in a Danni-ish way to ask you to subscribe, at least to the free edition (if you like it, you should subscribe to the premium version- it works out about £12.50 for a year). You can do this by going to http://thisistrue.com and signing up- but don’t use a Yahoo address (Vicky, when you get back I will show you the delights of pop3 and imap). I’m also putting the True a day thingie in my sidebar, finally.
