I’m currently reading Aristotle’s Physics. Before that Dyspraxia by Geoff Brookes (parts of which were very good – other parts were annoying.) I am also having The Cruise of The Nona by Hilaire Belloc Read to me over the phone. (It is out of print! )

I think Leo, but I also think astrology is bad.

I don’t want to mention the worst thing because it is too bad. The weirdest thing was probably my Valentine’s Day adventure, but it would take too long to write all about that.

When I was younger, I’d memorise entire text books. I didn’t realise other people couldn’t do that until a few years ago (Oh, and I can also touch my nose with my tongue.)

What do you MEAN, you don’t want to accompany me to Palestine and single-handedly bring peace to the Middle East? When has going along with my ideas ever been anything but wonderful and exciting?

I came across your site by googling DLA Mental Health (it’s time to do the dreaded form again) and discovered your excellent blog post about applying for DLA. Many thanks, its really helpful.

I hope you have a lovely holiday in Edinburgh but I do hope that, out of fairness to Johan, you will agree to a visit to the Yorkshire Dales. There is some spectacular scenery, interesting places to visit, and plenty of opportunity for getting away from civilisation and retreating to remote, isolated but truly beautiful valleys and moors. Definitely worth a long weekend visit or even a week, particularly if you stay in the northwest corner of the Dales, close to the Cumbria and Durham county boundaries. It wouldn’t be too far for you to travel either. I can suggest some places to visit if you are interested.

As you’ll see if you check out my website, I’ve only fairly recently (about 3 weeks ago) set up my blog, but have been a long term MHSU, and am just a little disillusioned with services. But I’m getting more involved in Service User Involvement with the local MH NHS Trust and that is proving to be a really good “safe” social activity and is helping to give me back a little self-confidence and self-esteem. It might be something you might like to get involved in and most MH NHS Trusts now pay Service Users for time and travel costs in return for providing feedback. The “work” only averages a couple of hours per week and so there should be little or no impact on benefits.
